Eligibility Criteria:
Officers under the Central Government / State Government / Union Territory Administration are eligible to apply.
They must satisfy one of the following conditions:
- Holding an analogous post on a regular basis in the parent cadre/department; OR
- Having 8 years of regular service as a Junior Secretariat Assistant in Level 2 (₹19,900 – ₹63,200) pay matrix.
🔹 Note: Officers who are already in the line of promotion within the department will not be considered for deputation.

Pay Scale and Deputation Period

Roles and Responsibilities
The selected Senior Secretariat Assistant will perform various administrative and clerical duties including:
- Assisting the Sectoral Head or Section Officer.
- Managing files, documents, and official correspondence.
- Drafting notes and preparing reports.
- Checking and correcting official papers.
- Preparing monthly and quarterly section reports.
- Guiding Junior Secretariat Assistants as required.
- Carrying out any other task assigned by higher authorities.
These duties play a key role in ensuring efficient office functioning within the NEC Secretariat.
